Supporting young emerging artists is one of the most exciting aspects of what we do. Last year we worked closely with Bangor jazz keyboard player Zak Irvine, who returns for a headline show in the Court House on 30th August. This year we’re working with local young jazz and soul singer MADI McCullough, whose voice and stage presence are winning her a growing following. You can see MADI during her festival residency.
MADI is a soul/jazz singer originally from Newtownards, but now living and working in Bangor. MADI approaches music with honesty and an open mind, letting the music do the talking. She started singing jazz only a year and a half ago, and has quickly realised how deep her connection is with the genre. Expect a relaxed, intimate show with moments of playfulness, pure appreciation and a whole lot of heart.
