More Info Last Remaining TicketsDid you know that The Kinks played Milano’s ballroom on Bangor seafront in 1966? Or that Thin Lizzy took a trip round the harbour in one of Laird’s boats before their show in the Kings Club in 1974? Or that the former Trident Bar in High Street was the birthplace of NI punk music, immortalised in the song Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers, and named after the punk fanzine co-founded by a young journalist from Bangor? This 90 minute bus tour will take you around Bangor’s seafront and back waters, to the birth places and stomping grounds of its musical sons and daughters, from Snow Patrol and Two Door Cinema Club, to Foy Vance, Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian, and Derek Bell of the Chieftains. You’ll see how Bangor has contributed more to the cultural heritage of this little country than a place of its size has any right to.
